Find the Savings Account That Fits Your Life

Everyone saves for different reasons. Some customers are opening their first savings account, while others are looking for competitive interest on larger balances or a dedicated account for a specific goal.

First Western offers several savings account options, making it easy to choose an account that matches the way you save. Whether you're planning for everyday expenses, holiday shopping, your child's future, or long-term financial goals, there's an account designed to help.

Our Personal Savings Options

URFirst Savings – Start a simple savings plan

URFirst Savings is a straightforward savings account designed for everyday saving.

Open an account with a $100 minimum deposit, earn interest on balances of $100 or more1, have 6 free withdrawals each month (additional withdrawals are $5 each1), and enjoy a low $3 monthly service charge that can be waived by maintaining a $100 minimum balance or a qualifying First Western relationship balance of $5,000. It's a practical option for customers looking to build savings while keeping their money accessible. This is a limited transaction account to help keep you on track with your goals.

Money Market Account

A Money Market Account combines competitive interest1 with flexible access to your savings. It's designed for customers who maintain balances of $10,000 or more and want to earn a competitive rate while still being able to make up to six withdrawals per statement cycle1,. It's a good choice for larger emergency funds or savings you may need to access occasionally.

Certificates of Deposit (CDs)

Certificates of Deposit are designed for money you can set aside for a specific period of time. Choose from a variety of term lengths and lock in a fixed interest rate for the term, giving you a predictable way to earn interest on savings you don't need immediate access to.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

A Health Savings Account helps eligible customers with high-deductible health plans set aside money for qualified medical expenses. First Western's HSA has no service charge, earns interest, and can be opened with $100, with tax advantages available for eligible contributions, earnings, and qualified withdrawals.

Christmas Club Account

Christmas Club Savings helps you prepare for holiday expenses by saving throughout the year. Open an account with as little as $25, make automatic transfers from your First Western checking account, and receive your savings as a direct deposit on the last business day of October, just in time for holiday shopping2.

Wish List Savings

Wish List Savings helps you save gradually for a specific purchase or goal, whether that's a vacation, home project, or another planned expense. Choose the month you want your savings paid out, and when your cash-out date arrives, the funds are automatically deposited into your First Western checking account2.

Kids S.A.F.E. Savings

Kids S.A.F.E. Savings is designed for children from birth through age 18 and helps families begin teaching good savings habits early. There is no minimum opening deposit, interest is paid on balances of $1 or more1, and a parent or guardian is required on the account.
